This type of helmet is an excellent example of the evolution of the knightly helmet. It is one of the first attempts to protect the face with more than just a nasal extension or a mail coif with a face flap. This helm continued on to become the complete head protection of the barrel helm. Stand included. Made of 18 gauge steel.
