Copied from a bowie made in the 1830s by Daniel Searles, a blacksmith in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Hardwood handle is flanked by steel pommel and ferrule. 12 1/4" overall. 7 1/2" blade, 1 5/16" wide. Weighs about 8 oz.
