Late Spanish Sword

E-mail this product to a friend

For more than 400 years areas of Spain had shifted borders with the occupying Arabs that moved into Spain after the first Moorish invasion. During this long period of settlement their art and building styles greatly influenced the Spanish people. That influence is plain to see in this slashing sword. Though gunpowder was changing the face of warfare, wide cutting swords were still in use. The fancy parts are steel while the grip is wood wrapped in leather cord. An unusual and well-balanced sword. Includes scabbard.
