We saw this rudimentary, tough and purposeful fighting knife at an auction some time back and thought it showed the stark reality of what could be fashioned for the day. A double-edged fighting knife for sure. The original had the name J.A. Hauser on the back of the sheath who it appears was with the US Navy ARGUS Unit 12.

Our version has a hardwood handle, steel parts and high carbon steel blade with full tang. A very nice replica showing ingenuity far from home. A curiosity for the military collector, yet functional in the field.
